Laparoscopy


Laparoscopy is a keyhole surgery which is used to study the organs inside the abdominal and pelvic area. It has benefits over traditional surgery, including more speedy recovery without staying in the hospital overnight, and is effective in reducing pain and much smaller scars.


A surgeon or a gynaecologist performs laparoscopy under general anaesthesia.


The surgery can be used for:

  • Evaluating cause of female infertility

  • Diagnosing uterine abnormalities

  • Fibroid removal if required

  • Evaluating tubal patency and abnormalities and correction


Diagnosing and treating ovarian problems like

  • PCOS

  • Ovarian Cysts

  • Chocolate cysts

Evaluating adnexal problems like

  • Adhesions

  • Endometriosis

  • Adnexal cysts

Treating emergency conditions like

  • Ectopic Pregnancy

  • Torsion of ovarian cysts etc.
